Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 October 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of PinSleuth. Please read them. By accepting an invitation, creating an account, joining the waitlist or using the service, the extension or the API you agree to them.

1. Who we are

PinSleuth is operated by Phillip Stemann (sole proprietorship, CVR 34846227), Ved Stigbordene 41, 2450 Copenhagen SV, Denmark (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@pinsleuth.com. “The service” means the website pinsleuth.com, the web app at app.pinsleuth.com, the API at api.pinsleuth.com and the PinSleuth browser extensions.

2. What PinSleuth is

PinSleuth is a Pinterest research and SEO tool. It shows search volumes, the keywords Pinterest attaches to pins, rankings and statistics, helps you plan and write pins, and tracks how your own pins perform. PinSleuth is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pinterest, Inc. Pinterest is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc.

PinSleuth is in early access. It is available by invitation, features change, and some features may be unfinished. We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. PinSleuth is made for professional use by bloggers, creators, businesses and agencies. If you use it for a company or a client, you confirm that you may bind them. If, despite this, you are a consumer, the rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country are not affected by these terms.

4. Your account

  • Accounts are created by invitation. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Choose a strong, unique password and keep it, and your API keys, secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
  • One account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in or API keys. Agencies can ask us about team access.
  • We may suspend an account to protect the service or other users, for example after suspected abuse or a security problem, and we will tell you why where we can.

5. Plans, free trial and payment

PinSleuth is offered as paid subscription plans (Solo, Pro and Agency), each with limits such as the number of keywords and websites you can track. The current plans, limits and prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies.

  • Free trial. New customers get a 14-day free trial. We ask for a card at checkout. If you cancel before the trial ends you pay nothing. If you do not, the first payment is taken when the trial ends. We may limit the trial to one per customer.
  • Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly depending on what you chose, and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • Payment provider. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in the app under Account, or by emailing us. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, you keep access until then, and you are not charged again.
  • Changing plan. You can upgrade or downgrade in the app under Account. Changes are prorated.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails we try again for a time and tell you. If it still fails your subscription ends. Your data is kept so you can come back.
  • Price changes. If we raise the price of your plan we will tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
  • Taxes. VAT or similar taxes are added where the law requires. Businesses in the EU can enter a valid VAT number at checkout, which can change how VAT is charged. You are responsible for any other taxes that apply to you.
  • Refunds. Payments are not refundable except where the law requires it, or where we say so. If you think you were charged in error, write to us and we will look into it.

PinSleuth plans are sold for business and professional use. At checkout you confirm that you are buying for business purposes.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or the rights of others, or use the service to harass, deceive or send spam;
  • break Pinterest’s terms of service or policies. You are responsible for making sure that your own use of Pinterest, and of any content or data you get from PinSleuth, follows them;
  • try to get around plan limits, rate limits or security measures, or put an unreasonable load on the service, including with automated tools or scripts beyond your normal API use;
  • resell, share or publish PinSleuth data, or build a competing service on it, without our written permission. Sending reports to your own clients is fine;
  • probe, scan or attack the service, or access another user’s data;
  • copy, modify or reverse engineer the software, except where the law allows it despite this clause;
  • upload anything unlawful or harmful, or content you have no right to use.

If you break these rules we may warn you, limit or suspend your access, or end your account.

7. Pinterest and other third parties

PinSleuth depends on information that Pinterest makes public. Pinterest can change what it shows, how it works and what it allows at any time, and it may limit or block our access. When that happens, some or all features may be slow, incomplete or unavailable, and we cannot be held responsible for that. Numbers such as search volumes, trends and positions are estimates and snapshots. Pinterest personalises results, so what you see may differ. Use them to compare ideas, not as exact counts.

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

8. AI features

The AI pin writer works only if you add your own Anthropic API key. The text you send, such as a keyword, a draft or notes, is sent to Anthropic under your own account and Anthropic’s terms and privacy policy, and any usage fees are charged to you by Anthropic. Do not send passwords, secrets or personal data of other people. AI output can be wrong, repetitive, or similar to existing content. You must review it before you publish it and you are responsible for what you publish. We do not guarantee that it improves rankings. Without a key you get fill-in-the-blank starters that do not use AI.

9. Your data and our data

Yours. The keywords, websites, notes, lists and other content you put into PinSleuth, and the history we build from them, stay yours. You give us the right to store and process them only as needed to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete them on request, and by deleting your account.

Ours. We own the service: the software, design, brand, texts and the compiled database of public Pinterest information. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own work while your account is active. If you send us feedback or ideas we may use them freely, without payment or credit.

10. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. If you are a business that uses PinSleuth with personal data of other people and you need a data processing agreement, email us and we will provide one.

11. Trademarks

PinSleuth and its logo belong to us. Pinterest and other names and marks belong to their owners. Nothing here gives you rights to any of them.

12. Availability and changes to the service

We may update, change, limit or remove features, for example for security, legal or cost reasons or because Pinterest changes. We aim to tell you in advance about changes that matter. We may also need to take the service down for maintenance, and it may stop for reasons outside our control.

13. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties about it, including about accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or any result such as rankings, traffic or income.

14. Limits of our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law. Beyond that, to the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue, traffic, rankings, data or goodwill;
  • our total liability to you for everything that arises from the service in any twelve months is limited to the amount you paid us in those twelve months, or to EUR 100 if you paid nothing.

15. If you cause us a loss

If you are a business and a third party makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law when using the service, you will cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, as far as the law allows.

16. Ending the agreement

You can cancel your subscription in the app under Account, or stop using PinSleuth and close your account at any time by emailing hello@pinsleuth.com. We may end or suspend your account if you break these terms, if the law or a security risk requires it, or if we stop offering the service. We will give you reasonable notice if we stop offering the service and, where possible, a way to export your data. If we end your account without a breach on your side, we will refund the part of any period you paid for and did not get.

When you ask us to delete your account we delete your data within 30 days, and backups holding it are overwritten within 7 days after that. If a subscription ends and you do not return, we keep the data for a limited time so you can come back, and delete it when you ask or when we review inactive accounts, at least once a year. Clauses that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, liability and governing law, continue to apply.

17. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. For changes that matter we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree you can close your account before that date. If you keep using PinSleuth afterwards you accept the new terms. Changes required by law or by a change in the service can apply sooner.

18. Businesses, not consumers

PinSleuth is sold to businesses and professionals, not to consumers. Because you confirm at checkout that you are buying for business purposes, the statutory right of withdrawal that applies to consumer distance contracts does not apply. If we ever offer PinSleuth to consumers we will explain their rights, including the 14-day right of withdrawal, before they buy.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute about them are governed by Danish law. If we cannot settle a dispute with you, it is for the courts of Denmark, with the City Court of Copenhagen as the first instance, unless mandatory law gives you the right to go to the courts of the country where you live. Please email us first. Most problems can be solved by talking.

20. General

  • These terms and the documents they refer to are the whole agreement between us about the service.
  • If a part is found invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up.
  • You may not transfer your rights or duties under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor of the business.
  • We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • We may send notices to the email address on your account. Notices to us go to the address below.
  • The English version of these terms is the one that applies.
